Thank you for submitting your case for review with the Denver Innocence Project. It might take a few weeks for our intake team members to be able to review the case and be in contact with you. We review cases on a first-come-first-served basis, and we review each case thoroughly and completely. This means that once your case is ready for someone on our intake team to review, we will also do it thoroughly and completely. If we need to contact you with follow up questions, we will.
Submitting your questionnaire and legal documents does not establish an attorney-client relationship and the Denver Innocence Project does not represent you in any capacity - we are only reviewing your case to see if we can potentially assist. Nonetheless, all statements made in the documents you sent us are privileged attorney-client communications.
During the time it takes for us to review your case, you may have filing deadlines for other claims. Do not wait on the Denver Innocence Project to file those claims - remember, we are not your attorney and we do not represent you. However, once we are able to get in contact with you about your case, you need to inform us about any filings you made in the interim.
